It combines a compact form factor with the same ALEV III sensor and industry leading image quality as all other Alexa models. Designed for specialized shots, the ALEXA Mini features a super-lightweight carbon body, a titanium PL mount, Canon EF Mount, frame rates of 0.75-200 fps, in-camera recording of ARRIRAW and ProRes (including 4K UHD), wireless video transmission, and loads of other brand new features. 
  
When people think “blockbuster” the main aesthetic that comes to mind is anamorphic. Unlike a spherical lens, an anamorphic lens is more oval, allowing for a wide field of view. This distorted image is then “de-squeezed” through processing and you’re left with a wide, cinemascope frame reminiscent of Hollywood blockbusters. The only way to achieve this anamorphic de-squeeze on the Alexa Mini is by renting our camera with the included optical license! One of my favorite anamorphic lens combos is the Alexa Mini with the Atlas anamorphic 50mm."
