Midwest Film Festival is seeing a change in leadership after the current season wraps up. Erica Duffy has announced that she will step down as Executive Director of the festival effective December 1, 2024.
Erica took over the role of Executive Director just as the pandemic hit. She used the four months of full quarantine lockdown as an opportunity to re-brand and re-launch the fest, which began by changing the name from MIFF to MFF. As a successful woman in film who relied upon those who supported women-run companies, Erica in turn made sure that MFF was helpful in pushing boundaries, creating industry norms, and supporting under-represented filmmakers.
