A Single Net Rag, also known as a single net scrim, is a tool used to control and manipulate light. It's a fabric screen, made of bobbinet material, designed to reduce the intensity of light by half a stop, softening and diffusing it without creating a harsh shadow edge.

    • Background Management: Can be placed between the subject and background to reduce background exposure and contrast in situations with shallow depth of field.
    • Non-glossy and Silent: Unlike ND gels, single net rags are non-glossy and silent, making them suitable for night scenes and situations where background exposure is difficult to control.
